Started a few years back by some Coulee Region area folks, "the Cornucopia Institute is dedicated to the fight for economic justice for the family-scale farming community. ... The Organic Integrity Project acts as a corporate watchdog assuring that no compromises to the credibility of organic farming methods and the food it produces are made in the pursuit of profit."

It was the Cornucopia Institute that sued when they learned Wal-Mart was selling non-organic items as organic. And they've been great about letting people know about important legislation that needs support. You can check their Action Alerts or subscribe to their RSS feed.
